My favorite vacation spot with my favorite people...

Our annual vacation to Lake Powell was August 11 - 14th. We went to Wahweep and played until sundown and then spent the nights in a Hotel. (The lazy mans way to do Lake Powell) We had so much fun playing together in the water, hiking, cliff jumping, building sand castles and riding the water weinie. Lauren, Emily and Tyler all water skied. Tyler became the king of "heiney skiing." He thought it was pretty funny to ski with his knees bent down low. Grandpa is a great slalom skier too. Taylor and Josh are so much fun to watch wake boarding. They can really catch some air.

Family Summer Fun

My very favorite room is the sun room which is the first photo. In the second photo it can be seen just off the kitchen. It overlooks their backyard and lake. It is so bright and sunny. Robin loves reading and doing projects in this room. It's my favorite room too.

Robin is creative and can do anything she wants to do. With the help of her husband Garry they have built a huge beautiful home in the woods of New England. In the backyard is a lake with everything from a beaver dam to a fish hatchery. She is really an excellent interior designer !! Here is a peek of some of my favorite rooms in her home.

Friends...

Our good friend Robin was visiting from Massachusetts for two weeks. She is such a pleasant fun person to be around. We had so much fun.

One day was spent sewing a variety of different projects such as patio canopies, capri jeans, skirts and children bibs. We had three sewing machines and two sergers. It was alot of fun!!!

We also enjoyed a day shopping for school clothes and shoes at the Park City Outlets. Robin was excited to find a Coldwater Creek Outlet store there.

Another day was spent at the Hogle Zoo with all the gang. It was a great day to be there because the baby giraffe was being born.

We had the opportunity to attend the Temple Open House together as well. Robin loved the temple and what it means to our families. She lost her sense of smell many years ago, but while we were in the Celestial Room together she could smell the soft scent of live flowers !!! Pretty neat!

Robin, thanks for coming !!! We had such a good time together. We love you !!!

Craft Project

Our "Under the Sea" party ended with a craft project. We made yarn octupus. Everyone did such a great job.

Grandmas Under the Sea party

Grandma had an "Under the Sea" grandchildren party. Lauren helped decorate and was in charge of the games and activities. She did a great job.

Grandpa built a swing set for the grandchildren in Allisons backyard. The whole gang can play together now !!!
